Kenneth M. Morgan concentrates his practice in the areas of transactional real estate, corporate law and business counseling. He represents clients in acquiring, financing and leasing real estate. Ken also represents buyers and sellers of assets in diverse businesses. He represents commercial landlords and tenants in all aspects of retail, office, industrial and warehouse leasing, and counsels franchisees in franchise acquisitions, sales and terminations. In addition, he represents property owners, tenants and contractors in negotiating commercial and residential construction contracts, and property owners in real estate tax appeals and in selective land use matters.
Before founding Morgan Law LLC, in February 2015, Ken was a partner at a local mid-sized law firm and prior to that he was an associate at an AmLaw 100 law firm. He was also previously a Vice President and commercial lender with a financial institution, where he was responsible for the origination, underwriting, closing and administration of commercial financing transactions.
Ken is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), served as Co-chair of the 2015 and 2016 PA/NJ/DE Conferences and Deal Making and as ICSC Southern New Jersey Government Relations Chair for three years. He has participated as a facilitator at the ICSC Law Conference on the topic of leasing exclusives and in Georgetown University's Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute. In 2019, Ken was appointed to the Businesses Committed to South Jersey (BCSJ) Board of Directors. An active member of BCSJ for more than 10 years, he is a strong proponent of the organization’s goals. Ken has received the "AV" preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell and served on the Board of Consultors for the NJSBA Real Property Trust and Estate Law Section for three years. His commitment to community also extends beyond industry. Ken has been a board member of the American Welfare Association (AWA) in Voorhees, NJ since 2018 and regularly supports local, regional and national organizations throughout the year.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. 1989), Drexel University (M.B.A. 1994), and Rutgers University School of Law-Camden (J.D., with honors, 2002), he was a state constitutional law editor for the Rutgers Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In recognition of his Real Estate practice, Ken was named to the South Jersey Magazine 2019 and 2020 Awesome Attorneys and South Jersey Biz Top Business Attorneys 2019 lists, both of which were compiled by the votes of thousands of readers in the community.*
